About Atheios

Atheios is developed to be a stable Proof of Work platform based on Ethereum and Ubiq. Born in the crypto winter of 2018, Atheios is a new blockchain that contained no premine or ICO. As a community run coin, our primary focus is improving the core features of the Atheios Blockchain.

Our vision is developing video game / blockchain based projects on the Atheios network. For more on Athieos, please join our discord to follow along and participate in it's development.

Now we start building for games. Read our latest update how will will buid our assets...

Rome is not built in a day people say – and that is probably true also for crypto currency. But we have made in the last 2 month some good progress.
When designing the Atheios ecosystem we have taken some thoughts on the architecture to make it scalable.
Here a blueprint of the architecture: Core of the architecture is the database which interfaces the Atheios
blockchain and keeps records of user, developer and game data.
The database will be scalable and distributed. NodeJS instances will be load balanced to handle traffic on a needed basis.
The Portal, Play and APIs will be accessing and changing data according to the tasks at hand.
Currently we only support CONSTRUCT as game engine, but we expect to extend to the grey fields later in the year.

2020 will be an exciting year for Atheios. Read our latest update how will will buid our assets...

A new decennial has started, and we are making a couple of good steps forward for some real use cases with Atheios. But let’s start with Atheios itself.
    Why Atheios
There are some coins out there who try to do very elaborate items and innovations in the blockchain world. We salute them. We think that spearheading new ideas will be important on the long run. It is a great opportunity to pick up the best ideas in the future, which have shown some credits. But that is not where our focus will be. We will have a very plain approach:
    · Focus on a market which has a broad interest, has money, which is easy to access
The gaming market is expected to hit 150 BUSD in 2019, has a vast ecosystem of developers and gamers. There are around 2.5 billion gamers worldwide. There are no regulative burdens or borders which makes the ecosystem strive.
    · Focus on APIs and what we can provide to developers rather than theoretical whitepapers
Making the live simple for developers drives adoption. This is where we want to put our focus. Simple onboarding of the Atheios blockchain delivered with useful functionality.
    · Focus on openness, transparency and in control of our own destiny
All of our properties are on github, visible for everyone. The blockchain is community run and this allows us to be independent and in the control of our own destiny.
Compare us to other blockchains and You will find us very attractive. And the best of all, we are currently not that know, so we have a low valuation. But don’t trick Yourself, we know where we want to go.

We have started to revamp our story and put Atheios as a game currency in focus.

    Our vision
After this summer we have started to revamped our vision for Atheios as gaming crypto currency:
We want to build an ecosystem around Atheios. An ecosystem is (in general use) a complex network or
interconnected system which nourishes of each other.
Our ecosystem will be around the game developers, the gamers and the Atheios blockchain. So how do they relate to each other?

Greetings fellow Atheios enthusiasts! The continuing efforts of the Atheios team have been fruitful...

Greetings fellow Atheios enthusiasts! The continuing efforts of the Atheios team have been fruitful and we have several developments to announce and celebrate! None of this would have been possible without the support of such a dedicated community.

Several members of the community stepped up immediately to mitigate the damage done from Berrans abrupt departure. Atheios has always had a strong community. That community, including you, is what will secure the future for the Atheios project.

    • A new team has taken over

This past June, Atheios was dealt an unexpected and sudden blow: the founding developer left the project which in turn caused a massive disruption and risked the integrity of the chain. Hash rate dropped, exchange value tanked, website and wallet functionality went offline. Within a few hours, several dedicated members of the community stepped forward and formed a team to stabilize the chain by providing hash power and getting additional boot nodes online for network security.

In the emergency meetings that followed, it was decided to keep the coin alive and to cut all ties to the previous developer. A new Discord was set up (as the old one was abruptly deleted) and a new web domain was chosen.

Soon after, a hard fork was planned to update the monetary policy, update the code base, implement PirlGuard, and make several other changes to the code for future growth.

The most astonishing part of this entire ordeal was the amount of community members (old and new) that stepped in to help in any way possible.

The team and community motivation for the success of Atheios is obvious to anyone looking at the items accomplished in this short amount of time. Atheios has a strong future with a solid community team that is dedicated to the success of the project.

    • Block 1,655,555

The scheduled hard fork at block 1,655,555 was completed successfully. PirlGuard is now active and protecting our chain from 51% attacks. The Development fund was increased to 15% of the block reward and the DEV FUND address was changed to one controlled by the Atheios team.

Several changes were also made to the old and outdated code to make it more friendly and intuitive for future development. For complete transparency, the new DEV FUND address can be found here:

    • Wallets

The new desktop wallet can be found here:

The updated web wallet (MEW) can be found here:

You can use the latest version of metamask with these settings:

    • Network

The Atheios network is doing well, especially after the successful hard fork. With the implementation of PirlGuard, we have mitigated some of the risk associated with a 51% attack.

Additional changes have further streamlined and modernized the code to be more user friendly and encourage development on the chain. Efforts will continue to fortify the blockchain and encourage future development of applications and integration.

    • Mining

Hash rate from our dedicated miners has remained stable and is showing signs of growth after the hard fork. All pools were prepared for the fork EXCEPT MINERPOOL. Minerpool was contacted multiple times prior to the fork but no response was received.

Minerpool was removed from our recommended pool lists as they are now on the old chain. Any miners at Minerpool mining Atheios WILL NOT BE PAID as they are on the old (dead) chain.

We recommend you mine on one of the pools listed below: Link Link Link Link

    • Exchanges

STEX and Safetrade exchanges were prepared and ready for the hard fork. Communication was excellent during preparation and they continue to perform as expected.

Unfortunately, the Gravix exchange did not recognize the efforts of the Atheios team and did not choose to upgrade in time for the hard fork. Because of this, any coins left on Gravix are now obsolete and not part of the current Atheios blockchain.

Gravix did not offer any logical reasoning behind their refusal other than requiring the team to re-apply and pay a listing fee (again).

This was not an acceptable situation and the Atheios team requested to be delisted from Gravix. Gravix acknowledged our request and Atheios is no longer affiliated with them.

    • Next steps

Code development and upgrades will continue behind the scenes to foster interaction with the blockchain. Additionally, Atheios will continue to explore new ways to provide easy game integration for both mobile and desktop games.

Complete and publish the official white paper that defines our vision and a road map of our bold plans.

The Wiki page is back online ( but does require some updating to reflect the past and current developments. If you would like to participate in this update and you are familiar with Wiki, please contact us at as we would love to reward you for your efforts!

    • From here we grow

Given the turmoil that Atheios was facing after the departure of the old developer, it is safe to say that the Atheios project is farther ahead than before AND stronger than ever.

We have successfully mitigated the damage created, strengthened the blockchain, fortified and updated the code, created a new website and explorer, and created/secured wallet functionality.

As a community project, progress and ideas are flowing at a much faster pace. Input and ideas from everyone are welcomed as we ALL work together for the betterment of the Atheios project. We would like to thank each and every one of you for your support as we grow together!

Greetings fellow Atheios enthusiasts and supporters. With the sad news of Berran leaving the project for personal reasons, the community members were thrust into a difficult position. The actions taken by the community in the first 24 hours of Berrans departure shows that we will NOT let this project fall to the wayside. We joined Atheios because we believed in the potential. That potential has not changed.

Several members of the community stepped up immediately to mitigate the damage done from Berrans abrupt departure. Atheios has always had a strong community. That community, including you, is what will secure the future for the Atheios project.

    • NETWORK: Currently the Atheios network, blockchain, and contract deployment are functional and healthy. The team has been working diligently on the backend to secure the chain and prepare for additional safe guards and security. Upcoming changes to the current outdated code include implementing PIRL Guard, a new developer fund address, and an adjustment to the monetary policy to increase the developer fund.
    RPC Server Port: 8696
    Websocket RPC Server Port: 8697
    Network Listening Port: 30696
    Network Discovery Port: 30697
    Network ID: 11235813
    Chain ID: 1620
    Forked from Gubiq v2.3.0
    Ubiq Flux Difficulty Algo

    • NETWORK UPGRADE: All Mining pools, exchanges and node hosts are required to upgrade their nodes before BLOCK 1,655,555. IF you do not upgrade before block 1,655,555 you will be forked onto an alternative chain. At Block 1,655,555 Pirl Guard will be activated for additional chain security and the developer fund address will be changed to one controlled by the current team. Please make sure your node is running V2.0.0 – Goodbye Dad before block 1,655,555. The update will be released asap. Please watch the discord for announcements.

    • MINING: Network hash rate is down but stable. Several community members have dedicated their mining power to the network to keep the chain secure. If you believe in ATH long-term and you are a miner, now is a great time to mine! The network upgrade will affect the monetary policy for the dev funds ONLY. Mining rewards will not deviate from the current policy and will remain unchanged.

    • WALLETS: Currently MEW, Metamask and Web wallets are being worked on and functionality should be restored shortly. We thank you for your patience as we deal with this.

    • WEBSITE: Unfortunately Berran held access to and we have been unable to reach him. Because of this a new website must be created. Our new address (currently undecided) will be hosted on Ether-1's ethoFS Platform. The new website design is underway and will host all the features you appreciated on the old website. We recognize that a functional website is critical for newcomers and veterans alike. Getting it up and running remains a priority.

    • EXCHANGES: Our current exchange listings have not been affected and remain live. Where possible, the team has been in communication with exchanges to solidify our relationship and preserve our valuable listings. Exchanges have been notified of the upcoming network upgrade and should transition smoothly.

On a longer timeline, code security and functionality remain a top focus. Atheios as a blockchain product cannot be successful unless tested, battle-hardened, and constantly improved. Updating the code to a more current, friendlier version will serve not only security but ease of interaction of developers and enthusiasts alike.

Additionally, a more formal structure of team members, contributing members, and governance are in discussion and will be brought to the community for input. Solid leadership is critical for our future.

This has been a difficult time for anyone who is an Atheios fan, holder, investor, or supporter. More difficulties lie ahead. If this project was easy we suspect Berran would not have left us. However, difficult tasks can yield satisfying rewards.

The current Atheios team of community members has been working tirelessly to insure a healthy future for the Atheios project. If you are reading this, then YOU are part of this team.

Join us in discord and share your thoughts. Working together we can all have a part in getting Atheios to where it deserves to be, at the forefront of blockchain integration in video games.

With great sadness we must inform you that Berran, founder & lead developer of Atheios, has left the project and shut down a lot of infrastructure with it...

Well, we never thought this would happen. But it did. Shortly after the one-year anniversary of Atheios, Berran walked away from the project for personal reasons.

It is amazing to see that immediately after this sad event the Atheios community grouped together immediately to discuss moving forward. We are currently assessing and discussing different options, but one thing is clear: we, as a strong community, are committed to making the next “Atheios” broader and stronger. Existing network strength, security and health will remain a primary focus as we overcome this challenge.

Keep calm and HODL on. Blockchain and video games are not going anywhere and neither is Atheios..
